17 Days Old

This is Moose. He has been chosen to be pampered and spoiled and well cared for by one of the most wonderful young women in the world. He is already named Moose and he has absolutely No idea what is in his future........lol!

Our Babies

We held our breaths in anxious anticipation. We counted the days on the calendar. We waited and we pampered the oblivious mother. Finally, they arrived, and we love them.

This picture is taken within an hour of birth. Poor Abigail was so exhausted. It had been a long night for her. Her life has changed. I recognize the weeriness in her eyes. I have looked in the mirror on several occasions and seen the very same look! She is a wonderful momma. We are so proud of her. As much as I love her puppies, there simply is not another Abby as far as I am concerned.........

Life With Chickens

Since we decided to bring home MANY chickens it has seemed like our life has revolved around them. We hope the payoff will be worth it in the end.  The coop is ready and now home to almost all of our little chickies. (Thanks to the hard work of my wonderful husband.) We are all exhausted, but honestly it is always fun taking on projects together. I love that Mal is outside all day right in the middle of it all with us.  Plus, it gives me the opportunity to take some great pics of my favorite subject...... like this one.
